    An Alumni of Rhode Island School of Design, the Design Institute of San Diego and the American International University of London. Dalal initially worked as interior architect before channeling her creative efforts into the launch of Manifesto 13, an art studio which aims to bring together art education and social awareness. She is the primary curriculum facilitator and overseas scores of art students, from kids to adults. Manifesto 13 is also home to art facilitators and visiting instructors. They have collaborated with several NGOs in Kuwait and globally to support education and child rights through the arts.

    Crafting, creating, and a sense of community is the aim of Yadawi. Yadawi was co-created by Lubna Saif Abbas. She has been developing this business for the past 10 years and is not only the creative force behind the organization, but she is also involved in conducting many of the Yadawi workshops. Focusing on technique and craft, by promoting-sharing-creating experiences of arts and crafts in contemporary jewelry making, fiber arts, and ink and paper segments. With over 300 workshops and experiences being offered over the years, Yadawi has created a community and place that harnesses innovation and creativity.

    Dr. Jawaher Al-Bader is a KU Faculty member specializing in Studio-based instruction at the College of Architecture. Dr. Al-Bader is a member of the AUK Advisory Board for the Art and Graphic Design Department. She is involved in community-based activism through artstudiokwt. She has her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction in Art Education specializing in Studio Environments, an MFA in Painting from Pratt Institute and undergraduate degrees from the RISD with a BArch and BFA. Her multi-media art practice is embedded in daily acts, bridging boundaries between all aspects of life as well as disciplines through an Arts-based existence.

    Zainab Abdal has been teaching computer since 2005 and in 2008, she became a professional photographer and trainer. Zainab has altered our perception about smartphone photography. She is pioneering a way for this emerging technique through which smartphone photography is used professionally to promote brands, products, and people. She is a member of the Kuwait Science Club Photography (Dawart) and has also taught several photography workshops. Zainab has won several photography competitions, such as her first place award by the Kuwait Girl Guides Association, and the second place in the Public Authority of Sports competitions of both 2010 and 2011. Among her clients are: BALANCE, Bayt Omi, Minerva Café, Al-Daiij Jewelry and others.

    Nasser ALQattan is a Photographer with an interest in landscape and street photography. He started in 2010 as a university student and then self-educated online as well as through a lot of practice by combining his it with his interest in travelling and exploring new cultures. He has participated in many photo exhibitions and his photos have appeared in various books and newspapers. He now enjoys giving workshops and going photography adventures in countries like Nepal (Everest base camp trip ), Georgia , Oman ( the Empty quarter ) and Bali.

    Dr. Fahad A. Dhawi is an Arabic typographer, information designer, and design educator. He has recently been awarded his Ph.D. degree from University of the Arts London. He received his B.A degree in Graphic design in 2009 from the American University of Kuwait. He later received his M.A in Graphic Design in 2012 from Coventry University, UK. His doctoral research highlighted the important role of Arabic typography and graphic communication within language learning and how Arabic can be further ‘simplified’ through visual pedagogy. His interests lie primarily in the production of “educational typefaces” and across the areas of graphic communication design, typography, information design and bilingual (Arabic-Latin) design

    Said Zeineddine is an advertising professional with 30+ years of experience in Egypt, Lebanon, and Kuwait. He holds a BS Degree in Mass Communication with a major in advertising. Zeineddine joined Horizon FCB in 1996 as an Account Manager and worked his way up to become Managing Director. He was also a Board Member of IAA Kuwait Chapter. Zeineddine managed various local and multinational clients in banking, automotive, F&B, retail, tourism, and other industries. In 2008, he led Horizon FCB to win ‘Agency of the Year’ at Kuwait Arabic Advertising Awards.

    Iqbal AlHaddad is a graduate of Webster University Geneva Switzerland where she earned her Master’s degree with a double major in Management and Human Relations. AlHaddad has 27 years of experience at NBK where she was assigned to the Advertisement department and gradually became the Executive Manager and Head of Corporate Communications Department. AlHaddad joined AUK in 2009 as a professor teaching senior level Communication & Media courses based on her experience in advertising and public relations. She has experienced and dealt with a variety of real-life examples within Kuwait's advertising industry.

    Yasmine El Charif is Content Manager at Bazaar Publishing in Kuwait. Her experience includes managing, creating, and editing content at bazaar’s print and online portals. With a penchant for publishing, Yasmine has collaborated with myriad artists, designers and other creative organizations like Nuqat to present bazaar's audiences with lifestyle content that is both impactful and memorable. Her previous experience includes marketing in the retail and food and beverage industry. During her free time, Yasmine enjoys travel, cooking and exploring Kuwait’s flourishing creative scene.

    Mohammed Al Sultan is a Kuwaiti photographer with more than 17 local rewards and 15 international prizes. Mohammed runs numerous workshops and seminars in photography. When he is not doing that, you can find him participating in any photography exhibitions. Mohammed is known for his landscape, Architectural, and Aerial photography, as well as for his penchant for creating powerful time-lapse images. He has been honored by Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah as among the best of youth achievements in the GCC countries.

    As a teenager, Photography was simply a hobby for Abdelaziz, which has since grown into a successful business and deep passion. Winning the VIVA passion Contest in 2011 was a major boost to his career which helped him to move from an amateur enthusiast to a professional photographer. Receiving this award, as an amateur photographer amongst the many competing professionals, was a great motivator that also gave me exposure to further my career into the world of photography. He has focused on commercial photography and videography, with an emphasis in food and beverage photography. It was this approach that took his work to an international audience after catching the attention of many restaurant owners from around the world, such as France, Dubai, Qatar and China.

    Yousef Al Baqshi is an animator and digital artist. He holds a degree in Theatre Design and has found drawing to be his personal way of communicating with the broader community. He does not target any particular segment of society with his art, but rather seeks to simply share with others the things that he finds interesting, be they opinions, ideas or even attempts to make an impact on society. He finds his inspiration in his own life experiences and tries to develop his art independently of the social constraints of customs and public opinion. To him, illustration is an internal process in which people’s perceptions reflect their own unique perspectives on the world.

    Elie Atik is a Digital Director at IBBDO Kuwait with over 10 years of experience in the advertising field. He joined BBDO Kuwait in 2007 where he has worked on campaigns for many leading brands in Kuwait such as Gulf Bank, Wataniya Telecommunications, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Enaya Insurance, and Alghanim Electronics. He has served in the Client Handling Department as a Senior Account Executive, as an account director, before moving up to lead the Digital Department, which caters all the digital and social media needs for all of BBDO’s local clients.

    Sami Hanna is the Managing Director for the local advertising agency, MullenLoweBlu where he has worked since 2011. After graduating a degree in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut he worked for three years as an auditor at Arthur Anderson, which made him more organized, attentive to details and punctual. These skills served him well as switched careers and accumulated nearly 16 years of advertising experience working at Publicis-Graphis PG and Y&R Kuwait offices. He started his advertising career as an account executive and within two years had worked his way up to serving as the account manager for PG’s largest account, Al Homaizi food stuff.

    Laila Al Gharabally is the Senior English Copywriter and an Account Manager at IBBDO Kuwait. She has 8 years of Experience with BBDO after beginning as an English copywriter at JWT-Kuwait for two years, where her clients included the National Bank of Kuwait, Zain, KFIC, Khazan, Taiba and Al-Seef Hospital, Exxon-Mobil and many more. Laila has also served as an Exhibition Manager at the Kuwait International Fair. Her main client at the moment is Gulf Bank, though she has worked with companies such as Ooredoo (previously Wataniya), Bayt Abdullah, Safat Home, and Alghanim Industries. She has won several awards including two golds and one silver MENA Crystals, as well as one gold, a bronze and two silvers at Dubai Lynx awards and was a finalist in the New York Festivals Awards.

    Amira Behbehani a Kuwaiti self-taught artist who grew up constantly exposed to art through her uncle (Jawad Boushahri), who himself was an artist and gallery owner. In 1992, she began working fulltime in her uncle’s company, Boushahri Group, as part of the creative advertising team.  In 2001, she switched careers to follow her passion for art and painting, participating in various international and local art exhibitions. Most of her work deals with subject matter deeply rooted in her childhood spent between Kuwait and Iran. In 2011, she became involved in an international peace organization called PEACE ONE DAY and marked Kuwait as the first Arab country to celebrate peace on the 21 September 2012. In 2013, she was appointed the peace ambassador for WPMP (Peace Project Marker Project) in Kuwait, and in 2015 became a member in the organization Abolish 153. In April 2016 was awarded the Arab Women Award – Kuwait.

    Thuraya Al-Baqsami is an artist and writer from Kuwait who became active regionally as early as the mid-1960s. She studied fine arts in Cairo, then at the Surikov institute in Moscow during the Soviet era. She later lived in Zaire and Senegal until she settled back in Kuwait in the 1980s. In 1990-91 she lived through the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, which immensely affected her creative output. Thuraya has held over 60 solo exhibitions worldwide, and participated in over 250 collective exhibitions spanning her long career. She has won numerous awards for both her art and her writing. She recently held her largest retrospective exhibition to date at the Sharjah Art Museum in 2017.

    Shurooq Amin is a mixed-media interdisciplinary artist and an Anglophone poet whose purpose is to instigate change in society. She has a PhD in Ekphrasis, the connection between art and poetry, and has been published and anthologized internationally. Her work has been shown in 14 solo exhibitions and more than 45 group exhibitions, her paintings have been sold at auctions, commissioned privately and publicly, awarded prizes locally and internationally, and shown at biennales and art fairs. Her work has been featured in journals, books, and academic curricula. She is the first Kuwaiti to be nominated for the prestigious Pushcart Prize in December 2007 in the USA. In 2012 she was nominated as one of Kuwait's 46 Inspirational People in Sheikha Intisar Al-Sabah's book The Alchemy of Wisdom. She has also been recognized with awards, nominations and honorary appointments from around the world.

    Tania Shammas, Gallery Coordinator at the Contemporary Art Platform (CAP), holds several degrees in the visual arts including a Diploma in Art and Design from Chelsea College of Arts, a BA in Marketing from Richmond University, and a MA in Artistic Creation from the University of Barcelona. Prior to joining the Contemporary Art Platform, she lived in Barcelona where she gained a deeper exposure to European Art and Art History. She is passionate about supporting the local art scene and being a part of its development.

    Sarah Chouari, 33 year old Fine Arts and Graphic Design graduate of SUNY (State University of New York) was born an artist with a mission to do it differently. Be it in spirit, in raw talent or in her way of life, the way of the masses was not one for her. With an undying passion for Art, and a growing dissatisfaction with the constrictions of the commercial Art world, in 2013, along with two of her most trusted partners, she founded the first of its kind Art Studio concept, ArtSpace. At ArtSpace, they teach the art of expression rather than the art of rules and techniques, and instead spread the message that "everyone is an artist”.

    Barry Rodrigues is Head of Marketing & Product Development at Future Communication. Kuwait. He has worked for industry leaders like Agility and National Aviation Services in various marketing capacities in addition to delivering marketing projects for the banking, hospitality and petrochemical verticals. His core competencies include brand building, leveraging new media to provide more engaging customer experiences and optimizing marketing strategies to increase exposure. Barry also provides pro-bono consulting services for small businesses to help them achieve their marketing objectives.

    Anwaar Saleh AlAsousi is a graphic designer who specializes in patterns. She her own graphic design studio in 2012, which today has transformed from a traditional graphic design studio into a complete creative design agency. Anwaar is an AUK alumni with a degree in Finance. For the past few years she has acquired various skills moving from a mere graphic and digital designer to a visual artist. She finds inspiration in mixing digital designs with hand-drawn and hand-painted artwork on various media.

    Abdullah Alsanousi is Motion Graphic Designer and a co-founder of the boutique media production company Tell-A-Vision, based in Kuwait, along with Mohammed Almunaies, Director/Video production manager.The two founders graduated from the Mass Communication Department at Kuwait University and worked at Al Watan TV, which gave them both academic and professional experience that helped to shape the company and rapidly build a reputation in the market. Today, they produce creative works from some of Kuwait’s largest companies as well as government organizations and individual entrepreneurs.

    Saud Aljuwaiyan is a founder of OX Adventure. Before starting OX, he spent time at a leading oil service company Schlumberger. He spent most of his time in the oil field away from his society, friends, and family. He quit his job after that to backpack around the world for six months to learn more about the world and to lose himself amongst the beauty of nature and in the experiences around him. From there he started using his camera to capture the emotions during these adventures. After years of travel, Saud founded OX Adventure, and he completed more than 30 projects and guided more than 500 people around the world, without forgetting to capture these people emotions.

    Badreya Alhajri is a student of Human Resources Management at the American University of the Middle East and also a Portrait Photographer. Her ambition is to be a visual artist that can help in establishing art platforms which serve various artists in Kuwait. What she loves about Art is that it has no limits and she believes photography is like a poem with free words. Badreya founded Phone Art Kuwait in September, 2017 and has trained many eager students to learn more about the power of creating compelling art with the everyday tool of a smartphone.

    Faisel is a young man full of ambition. Since his school days, he has been passionate about charity work and making a change. While at the Gulf University for Science and Technology, he was one of the founders of the Public Relations Club, which under his leadership managed to break a Guinness World Record for the largest amount of charitable donations collected within a 24-hour period. With the encouragement of friends and family, he recently established his own business and is the proud owner and managing partner of KWT Magazine; an online magazine and marketing firm. He is grateful for my family and friends and lives by the commitment to make time for them no matter how much his work takes up his day.

    Nouriya Almass holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a master’s degree in Business Administration. She decided to delve into the creative industry early in life, selling her first painting at the age of 11. She started taking art courses at a very early age to pursue her passion and love for art. After graduating from university, she started taking design courses such as a 6-month interior design course from the London Interior Design Institute and several graphic design workshops in Kuwait. Nouriya now works in the creative industry creating designs and artwork/illustrations for many established brands in the region.
